This is an adaption of a sweet friend Daidri’s recipe.  She brought this casserole to our family this past November when my mother in law passed away.  Friendships are such blessings and taking a warm casserole to a friend in need is such a thoughtful and supportive way to show love.

My family loved this so much, Daidri was sweet enough to share her recipe with us.  The great thing is you can add anything you want to it.  I dream of mushrooms – but my family says no (can you hear me crying). Grab those pizza toppings your family has a hankering for and let’s make this bad boy!

Cook your noodles in salted water as per package instructions!  While they are boiling put sauce together.  In a skillet cook your meat and any veggies you choose (tonight I did not add onion or green pepper) on medium heat until done.  I add a little garlic powder if using Italian sausage or garlic salt if using ground beef. Drain meat then add back into skillet and pour in jars of sauce and heat thru.

Put a layer of sauce on the bottom of your baking dish, add noodles, sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Then layer again.

Cover with foil, put in 375° oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes.  Then uncover and bake for 10 minutes. If it isn’t as brown as you would like turn on broiler and bake another minute or two.

  1. I doubled the recipe using the pizza toppings I like on a homemade pizza. I used 2 lb Jimmy Dean original sausage, onion, green pepper, layering pepperoni with cheese. EVERYONE loved it….BIG HIT!!!!.

    1. Now that sounds delicious! I love how adaptable this one is. Throw in what you love and you have such an easy and delicious meal! So happy it was a big hit with your family! That is just what I love to hear! <3

    1. I have not tried it. But I have frozen my baked spaghetti and it turned out well. I think this should freeze well. I would remove from freezer to refrigerator 24 hours before reheating. Preheat oven and cook covered loosely with foil.

  2. This sounds so yummy! I have to make this one night very soon! Wish I still had kids at home cause I know they would love this!
