Instant Pot Creamy French Onion Ground Beef and Noodles

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • garlic salt to taste
  • 1 can beef broth (14 ounces)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can french onion soup
  • 1 12 ounce package wide egg noodles
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2/3 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk


  • Set the {6 Quart} Instant Pot to saute. Add ground beef and garlic salt to taste. Cook until browned, about 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Pour in beef broth, water, french onion soup, noodles and salt. Give it a stir and make sure noodles are mostly covered.
  •  Put on lid and lock with vent closed. Set for manual high pressure for 5 minutes. Once done open valve for a quick release.
  • Stir in sour cream and heavy cream. Leave on warm setting a few minutes and it will thicken up a bit.


Stove Top Instructions: Cook noodles according to package instructions and drain.In a deep skillet or large pot cook ground beef until done. Add ingredients (minus water) and stir until well combined. If you find it needs a little more liquid you can add a little water as desired.
