Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Feta Cheese (I used a block)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese block softened
  • 1 tablespoon avocado (olive oil can also be used)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice from freshly squeezed lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey (plus more for drizzling)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary finely chopped, (plus a few leaves for garnish
  • 3 fresh fresh figs stems removed, and chopped in into bite size pieces
  • ¼ cup walnuts roughly chopped (or taste) - pistachios are also delicious

Instructions

  • Break the feta into a few pieces and place it in the food processor, add the cream cheese, oil, lemon juice, honey, and chopped rosemary. Process until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  • Spread the whipped cheese onto a plate or platter. Add the chopped figs, walnuts, and additional rosemary leaves.
  • Drizzle honey over the dip.
  • Serve with your favorite artisan bread (Italian, baguette, and sourdough all work well), warm pita, naan, or even flatbread.

Notes

Storage: Hold off on chopping the figs until the day you want to serve. Then cover the dip bowl with foil or plastic wrap, place it in an airtight container, and store it in the refrigerator for three days.
