Nutter Butter Turkey Cookies

These Nutter Butter Turkey Cookies are the perfect Thanksgiving treat to make and eat with the kids! Cookies, candy corn, chocolate chips, yellow candies, and candy eyes turn into fun turkey cookies that look so cute, no baking required. They’re great for parties or just some weekend fun.

Ingredients

  • 6 Fudge Covered Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies (Nutter Butters)
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips for melting
  • 30 candy corn pieces
  • 12 mini candy eyes
  • 6 yellow M&Ms or yellow candies

Instructions

  • Open the box of Nutter Butters and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips at 15-second intervals, stirring between, until completely melted.
  • Use the chocolate to “glue” the turkey features into place on the peanut butter cookie
  • Place one large line of chocolate at the top to affix the candy corn, forming turkey feathers. Then a dab of chocolate towards the bottom for the yellow M&M nose, and two small dabs just above the nose for the mini candy eyes.
  • Let set on the baking sheet for 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden before serving. You can place them in the refrigerator to speed up the process or if the house is warm.

Storage: Store turkey cookies in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Freeze: Freeze cookies in a single layer on a lined baking sheet until solid, about 1-2 hours. Transfer to an airtight container and store for up to 3 months. Let thaw at room temperature before serving.
