Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe

Make this better-than-take-out Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe in less than 30 minutes! It’s made easily with simple ingredients, like frozen chicken bites, your favorite honey, chicken broth, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, red pepper flakes, and red pepper flakes served over white rice.

Ingredients

  • 18 ounces frozen chicken bites cooked (or see homemade recipe)
  • 2 cups rice cooked
  • cup honey
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 4 tablespoons rice vinegar or white vinegar
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (use less if want less spicy)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped green onion

Instructions

  • Cooking cook the rice according to the directions, this will take about 15-20 minutes.
  • While the rice is cooking, cook the chicken according to the package directions. This will take roughly 10 minutes.
  • To a large saute pan, medium heat; add the honey, chicken broth, rice vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Occasionally stir for 10 minutes or until slightly reduced.
  • Add the chicken, after being cooked in the oven or air fryer into the skillet. Toss for 2-3 minutes until the chicken is fully coated and hot.
  • Serve with rice and top with green onions. You can also top with sesame seeds if desired.
