Wash, dry, slice and lay the potatoes fanned out in a prepared baking dish.

Bake covered with foil, then remove cover and top with remaining cheese.  Bake uncovered until the cheese is golden and bubbly. You can also turn on broil for a minute or two to get that top extra crispy if you like.
