Ingredient Notes

Labeled ingredients needed to make a dessert eggnog dip.
  • Whipped topping: A whipped cream topping, like Cool Whip, thawed and ready to mix in, creates a silky and light base for the creamy eggnog dip. Or you can make homemade whipped topping with this easy recipe.
  • Cream cheese: Complete the creamy base of the dip with whipped cream cheese. You can either toss a block of cream cheese into the mixer to whip or get the whipped product in the tub from your local grocery store.
  • Eggnog: Do you have a favorite brand of eggnog? I know I do! For the best results, add the brand you love.
  • Warm spices: Boost the holiday flavor with allspice and cinnamon.
  • Pudding mix: Bulk up the recipe with a white chocolate pudding mix, adding creamy and chocolatey notes. Vanilla pudding mix will also do the trick!
  • Garnish: Top it off with fun and festive Christmas sprinkles.

Variations and Substitutions

  • Homemade Eggnog: Enjoy authentic flavor and a handmade touch by making your own festive Eggnog.
  • Cinnamon Topping: …Dust the top of the dip with cinnamon powder for a lovely presentation and an alternative to red and green Christmas sprinkles.
  • Greek Yogurt: For a slightly healthier dessert dip, swap out the whipped cream cheese for plain Greek yogurt.
  • Add-Ins: Mix white chocolate chips, peppermint candy bits, M&Ms, caramel, or cinnamon chips into the dip for added texture and taste!
  • Flavor Boost: For more creamy notes, add vanilla extract or rum extract to the recipe!

I don’t like eggnog itself, but I LOVE eggnog flavored desserts – this was perfect for the eggnog leftover in our fridge, and I absolutely LOVED IT.
